September 30 through October 6 is Banned Books Week. Have you read Huckleberry Finn? Fehrenheit 451? Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland? A Light in the Attic? or any of the Harry Potter books? Then you have read Banned Books.
This week of literary celebration, originated by the American Library Association, is designed to point out how various groups with certain agendas have tried to manipulate the public’s access to different points of view. Because of their perspective, a lot of great literature has been argued over and legislated against in various states and wordwide. How do you feel about that?
